Summer is here, and it is the perfect time to try some refreshing drinks. It’s a time when there will be some seasonal fruits available, which you can use to make juices and cocktails.

However, if you’re a tea lover, having a hot cup of tea in this weather won’t be a good idea. Then why don’t you try some refreshing iced teas?

Today we are going to tell you about some popular flavored iced tea recipes you can make for you and your family.

Popular Flavored Iced Tea Recipes

1. Chamomile-Strawberry-Orange Cold-Brewed Tea

Ingredients:

  • Eight chamomile tea bags
  • 12 cups filtered water, at room temperature
  • Two small juice oranges (thin-skinned), peeled, cut into slices, and seeded
  • 24 large strawberries, halved
  • Four teaspoons honey
  • Four teaspoons hot water

How to prepare:

  • Place one tea bag and 1 1/2 cups water in each of 8 pint-size canning jars with lids. Place two orange slices and six strawberry halves in each pot. Cover with lids; refrigerate it for 12 to 24 hours.
  • Remove tea bags from jars. Combine honey and four teaspoons hot water. Divide honey mixture evenly among jars (about one scant teaspoon in each).

2. Pomegranate and Lime Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups boiling water
  • Eight tea bags
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • Three limes, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sugar

How to prepare:

  • Pour the water into a heat-resistant pitcher. Add the tea bags. Let steep for 10 minutes. Remove the teabags and let it cool to room
  • temperature before refrigerating. Add the pomegranate juice, limes, and sugar and pour over ice.

3. Classic Sweet Tea

Ingredients:

  • 12 regular-size tea bags
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • One qt. distilled or bottled water
  • One qt. ice cubes
  • 1/4 cups Simple Syrup

How to prepare:

  • Place the tea bags and baking soda in a large glass pitcher.
  • Bring water just to a boil in a kettle, and immediately pour over tea bags. Make sure the bags are fully submerged. Cover and steep for 7 minutes. Remove the tea bags without squeezing and discard.
  • Add ice, and stir until it melts. Stir in Simple Syrup. Serve over ice.

4. Mint Tea

Ingredients:

  • One tablespoon loose Chinese green tea
  • 5 cups boiling water
  • Two small bunches fresh spearmint, rinsed and drained
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar

How to prepare:

  • Rinse the teapot with boiling water to warm; discard the water. Combine tea and 5 cups of boiling water in the teapot. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add mint and sugar, stirring until sugar dissolves. Steep 3 to 4 minutes. Strain tea, and serve immediately.

5. Mock Tea Sangria

Ingredients:

  • 1 (10-oz.) package frozen raspberries, thawed
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • One family-size tea bag
  • 2 cups red grape juice
  • One lemon, sliced
  • One lime, sliced
  • 1 (16-oz.) bottle orange soft drink, chilled

How to prepare:

  • Process the raspberries in a blender until smooth, stopping to scrape downsides. Pour the puree through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a big container, discarding raspberry seeds.
  • Bring the sugar and 3 cups of water to a boil. Remove from the heat; add tea bag: cover and steep 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bag using a slotted spoon, squeezing gently; cool the tea mixture slightly. Stir together tea mixture, raspberry puree, grape juice, and lemon and lime slices. Cover and chill 2 to 24 hours. Stir in orange soft drink, and serve immediately over ice.

Iced tea is quite popular due to its taste and refreshing nature. Besides, it can be extremely energizing as you’re getting the benefits of both tea and fresh fruits.
