Directions:

  • Take ½ teaspoon of sugar in a small bowl
  • Mix a little honey with it until you get a sticky consistency

  • Pat dry and apply your favourite lip balm!

2. Pumpkin Lip ScrubPumpkin Lip Scrub

Directions:

  • Place the brown sugar, coffee grounds and pumpkin in a small bowl.
  • Blend well using either a fork or a spoon.
  • Add the remaining ingredients: honey, coconut oil, shea butter.
  • Stir, pressing down as needed, to make sure all ingredients are well-blended.
  • Transfer the finished product to a small glass jar with a lid. Keep it in the fridge to help preserve it.
  • To use this product, apply a small amount with a toothbrush or clean fingertips. Gently massage onto your lips for about 20 seconds in a circular motion.
  • Rinse off, and use your preferred lip balm.

3. Lavender Lemon Lip BalmLavender Lemon Lip Balm

  • 2 tablespoons beeswax
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 7 drops lavender essential oil

  • 2 drops vitamin E
  • Lip balm tins or chap sticks containers

Directions:

  1. In a small pot over medium low heat melt beeswax, coconut oil, and vitamin E. Stir occasionally.
  2. Remove from heat and add essential oils. Whisk well to distribute oil throughout the mixture.
  3. Pour quickly into tins or jars. Let cool on counter till hard.

NOTE: Citrus essential oils are highly concentrated. Preserve it in tins or glass jars so that it doesn’t eat away any plastics.

Do’s and Don’ts You Must Follow to Get Rid of Dead Skin on Lips

Keep your lips smooth by following these simple instructions [4]:

  1. Choose a lip balm with sun protection
  2. Apply lip balm before you put any matte lipsticks, this will help to prevent further roughness on lips
  3. Try to keep the air in your home humid
  4. Drink enough water to keep yourself hydrated
