Massaging appropriately can help us alleviate many health problems. It eases muscles and circulates blood properly. Adding essential oil in any carrier oil and massaging the body with that is indeed beneficial and very relaxing.

The process is like applying natural progesterone cream. The essential oil gets absorbed in via the pores in the skin. A couple of drops do the trick. 1Tbsp of carrier oil mixed with 1-2 drops of essential oil. Be careful as some oils are irritating to a few.

Our sense of smell is fantastic as well and has power beyond affecting our emotions and memories. It hits us physiologically. As the sense of smell is linked with the emotional center of the brain, inhaling essential oil can impact on breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, stress, and hormone balance. Aromatherapy is gaining fame worldwide. One must try it to know the difference.

Androgens: Androgen is a group of hormones. It is often called ‘male hormones’ as it regulates the development and maintenance of the male reproductive system. (4)

The female body also has a notable amount of androgens, but the amount is very low than that of a man. It is about 1/12 of a man. But those who have PCOS tend to have a higher level of these hormones.

Symptoms like hair loss, unwanted facial hair, and infertility in PCOS are caused because of the hormonal imbalance. (2)

Insulin: This is the hormone related to diabetes as you know. It regulates blood sugar in your body. When someone has PCOS their body might not behave the same it should work with insulin. As a result, there is a chance of getting diabetes and also have trouble losing weight.

Progesterone: Whereas, Androgens are male hormones progesterone is the ‘female hormone,’ produced in the ovary following ovulation each month. It is very important for the menstrual cycle and pregnancy.

So in PCOS patients, this hormone is very low then the required amount and that causes irregular and painful period. Also, your uterus does not get ready for pregnancy. Headaches or migraines, mood swing, anxiety, depression are also symptoms of low progesterone. (5)

The truth is, the sooner one can get treatment the sooner that person can have relief from its associated pain. Though PCOS will not get cured, it can be kept under control.

Community Help

Fighting PCOS alone may be tough. The feeling of having someone who has the same pain and you can share with them is very blissful. Finding information on PCOS can also be very tough. The disorder and its symptoms vary from person to person so it is also hard to track and know all the remedies.

That is why all over the world many communities are build up to help women get the right information and provide mental support. This online organization named PCOS Awareness Association and Soul Cysters are one of them. There can be one in your neighborhood or the neighboring neighborhood if you search for it. Go and join them. That will be the best remedy.

But if you do not have one also then as you have found out that the percentage of having PCOS at a certain age is quite high, you may also found ladies around you. Gather them and make up a new group. Be at each other’s back at the time of need. Spread love, girl love. This treatment is highly recommended.
